Foundation Day Celebrations

English

The foundation day is celebrated amidst much fanfare every year on 25th September. We seek a community of an empowered generation of young minds who can contribute to the development of society and the nation at large. Keeping this in mind the last year’s theme for the Annual Function was Youth- The dreamers of tomorrow. We believe that the pursuit of excellence must be an indispensable part of our academic system and excellence should be ingrained in the culture of our educational institutions.

As also one of the best nursery schools we try to follow the footsteps of the man on this auspicious day. You can feel the presence of the youth icon Swami Vivekananda during ou foundation day events as the institution is founded in his name so that we can carry his ideologies forward.

The cultivation of excellence demands discipline, single-minded focus and determined effort. During this juncture in our journey as a nation, excellence is necessary and mediocrity is no longer an option.

We all know how Swami Vivekananda conveyed to the world the value of the spirit of universality, tolerance and acceptance that underpins ancient Indian thought. We are an avid follower too of Swamiji’s teachings as his thoughts on religion, spirituality, nationalism, education, philosophy, social reform, poverty alleviation and empowerment of the masses has motivated us greatly. The manner in which Swami Vivekananda understood the pulse of the nation and the ethos of its culture and strived to rebuild it on the noblest ideals that were enshrined in the refined foundations of the universal hood. He worked tirelessly for national transformation through divine purification, spiritual emancipation and social regeneration. Noting that Swamiji’s teachings remain eternal orders to the whole world to this day, we ensure that our young minds study the life and works of Swami Vivekananda and adhere to his message with heart and soul.

Our teachers and students participate in many cultural activities to make this day memorable every year. Additionally, a prize distribution ceremony is also conducted for the top-performers to motivate them and encourage others to do well. Many eminent personalities from various fields like academics, fine-arts, medicine and business make their
presence felt and give away the prizes to the winners. They also share their rich experiences that boost up the spirits of the young minds.

We are also planning for the International Dimension in Schools to celebrate the school’s endeavour to include international work as part of our curriculum and help to embed it within the school’s culture. The programme will support us in promoting an international ethos throughout the school and embedding it within the curriculum.
