Continuous assessment on a day to day basis. A child is expected to be prepared with his/her lessons every day.
Lower Primary
There is no examination in the Lower Primary. Assessment of the student’s performance and progress is made through a continuous process on the basis of his/her daily activities at school. Information is sent home in three separate terms on the academic achievement, personality and social development of every individual student. Besides this, group meetings are periodically held to interact with parents regarding the special abilities and talents of students and also their difficulties.
At the end of each academic session a student’s performance is assessed cumulatively to decide if he/she is ready for the next higher class. A steady progress all round the year is considered as the promotion criteria with particular emphasis on the pupil’s acquired skills. Stress is also put on his/her behaviour pattern and social adaptability.
Primary
At the Primary level the performance of every individual pupil is evaluated from both scholastic and non-scholastic view points, which is essentially a continuous process. The basic objective is to inculcate in the child a regular study habit and the sense of responsibility to work according to his/her own potential. Equal importance is given to the development of writing and speaking skills as well as to the personality traits.

Class V to Class XII
From class V to class XII the academic progress of students is assessed in three terms through spot-examinations framed as per the Board examination patterns. The students’ general behaviour in and outside the school throughout the year also forms a part of the criteria for promotion.
