Admission is open for Nursery I through Class VII for Session 2027-28, alongside the Toddler Section for Session 2026-27 (commencing 1st September 2026).
For Session 2026-27, children must be born between 01.04.2023 and 31.03.2024 — i.e. aged between 2 and 3 years as on 01.04.2026.
Interviews are conducted offline at the School Extended Campus. Please report 10 minutes early, and ensure both a parent and the candidate attend. If a parent is unable to attend, prior permission must be sought by email — otherwise the interview stands cancelled for that day. Carry the candidate's original birth certificate.
No. Seats are limited and filled strictly on a first-come-first-served basis — no donations are accepted, and the selection committee's decision is final.
Yes — a 50% discount on admission fees applies to a second child when an elder sibling is already enrolled at the school.

VMS Joka is affiliated to CISCE, New Delhi (School Code WB121) — students appear for the ICSE examination at Class X and the ISC examination at Class XII.

VMS Joka was founded in 1978 by educationist Mr. C. G. Chandra under the Vivekananda Education Society (VES), on the philosophy of "man-making and character-building" education. Read more under History.
Uniform material is sourced only through school-recommended tailors. Students need at least two pairs of regular uniform plus one sports uniform, worn with black shoes with Velcro straps on all days, including games day. Full details are on the Rules page.
Every student belongs to one of four houses, each built around a core value: Scarlet (Courage), Royal (Honesty), Emerald (Peace) and Gold (Sincerity). See the current house captains under School Core Committee.
Early departure or leave during the school day is strictly prohibited. If a prior appointment is unavoidable, guardians are advised not to send their ward to school that particular day.
Leave requires a written request from a guardian stating the specific reason. Attendance is compulsory on the first day of the academic session and on the last working day before, and first working day after, every vacation. Students recovering from a contagious disease (e.g. chicken-pox, measles, mumps) should observe a 21-day quarantine before returning.
