FILM FANTASIA 2.0 LAUNCHED BY ASISC

ASISC (Association of Schools for Indian School Certificate) launched Film Fantasia 2.0, an Inter-School Short Film Festival exclusively for students of Classes IX–XII. The festival provided a wonderful platform for young filmmakers to conceptualise, create, and showcase original short films while exploring the powerful medium of cinema.

This year’s inspiring theme, “Kindness Can Change the World,” encouraged students to think creatively, collaborate meaningfully, and use storytelling to convey messages of hope, empathy, and compassion. The festival aimed to nurture creativity, develop technical and artistic skills, and recognise outstanding cinematic talent within the ASISC fraternity.

Our talented team of students brought this beautiful theme to life through their short film, “The Sunflower.”
The film was created through the collective efforts of:

Their creativity, teamwork, dedication, and passion for storytelling truly made “The Sunflower” shine.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony, held on 12 September 2026 at ICCR, brought even greater joy as our young talents were honoured with three prestigious awards:

Critics’ Choice Award
Best Editor – Aagnik Banerjee
Best Child Actor – Arnik Mitra

A special congratulations to Aagnik for his outstanding editing and to our youngest artist, Arnik, for his remarkable performance and well-deserved recognition as Best Child Actor.

We are immensely proud of the entire team behind “The Sunflower.” Their achievement is a wonderful reminder that when creativity meets collaboration, and storytelling carries a message of kindness, young minds can truly make a difference.
