Chess Club

Not for nothing is chess known as the ‘game of Kings’. No doubt the rulers of the empires and kingdoms saw in the game fitting practice for making strategies. As we learn more about brain, it is important to enhance it. So, the Chess Club aims to improve the ability of the students to think rationally, develop patience and increase the level of concentration. The mentor of VMS chess club is an eminent chess player Mr. Manik Bal.

VMS took part in CISCE Chess Competition on 26th July 2019. The team comprised of Suvamita Banerjee (VI), Ishan (VI F), Hritik Das(VII A), Sayan Das (VIII C), Sayan Das (VIII G),Sanket Chakravorty (X A) and Deepmalya Poddar (X D). Sanket Chakravorty stood 1st and Deepmalya Poddar stood 5th from the under -19 Category.
