Jadavpur University Model United Nations 2023 was held at the Jadavpur University campus from 31st of March to 2nd of April 2023. Model United Nations are simulations of actual United Nations conferences where our students participated under committees such as DISEC, UNHCR, UNCSW, UNCED-RIO’92, UNSC CTC, WTO, IP with only one Indian committee LOK SABHA.

There were 16 students from our school who took part in this event:
* Amitabh Chatterjee and Brishti Mondal, class X, for United Nations General Assembly DISEC
* Aratrik Das Majumder and Shuvomay Dey,class IX , for the United Nation Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED- RIO’92)
* Shirshajit Mukherjee (class XII) ,Suryasree Manna and Chandrima Mondal (class IX) for Lok Sabha
* Koushani Pal and Sohan Chatterjee, class X , for United Nation Security Council – Counter Terrorism Committee
*Mrittika Kar and Deeksha Chowdhury, class X , for United Nation Commission on Status of Women
* Shaborna Roy and Ritisha Bagchi, class XII , for United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees
*Somjit Mukherjee, class IX , for The World Trade Organization
*Sohom Dutta (class X), Anushtup Ghosh (class XII) for The International Press.

Sohom Dutta, who participated as a reporter from the International Press of India won an honourable mention under the International Press Committee. The effort put up by our students was commendable. While preparing for this conference our students learnt valuable lessons in diplomacy and the need for international cooperation in solving global issues.
