Dhanpat Rai Srivastava, better kown by his pen name Premchand, was an Indian writer famous for his modern Hindustani literature. Premchand was a pioneer of Hindi and Urdu social fiction.
He was born on 31st July 1880 in Varanasi district and this date is celebrated every year as “Premchand Jayanti”.
On occasion of Premchand Jayanti [31/07/2022], Hindi Department arranged one programme within the school premises , we offered our homage to this great personality through some performances by the students.
