10 students of class XII went to Ballygunge Science College on 30th April,2025 accompanied by Moushree sister and Vaijayanti sister to experience a set of experiments in the molecular plant physiology lab of Assistant Professor Dr. Soumitra Paul. They witnessed the process of amplification of genes by PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis and production of salt resistant rice varieties by insertion of genes. They learnt about genome editing while interacting with the research scholars in the laboratory. The practical demonstrations brought theoretical concepts to life which greatly benefitted the students.
