The VMS Chess team bagged the 2nd Runners Up Position in the Inter-School Chess Championship organised by University of Engineering and Management(UEM).

Sharanya Bose won 10th position(among 1500 candidates) in the All Bengal Sitting Drawing Competition organized by Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal at Rabindrasadan.
The award was presented by Shri Hari Krishna Dwivedi (Hon’ble Chief Secretary, Government of West Bengal) and Shri Shantanu Basu (Hon’ble Secretary, Department of Information and Culture, Government of West Bengal), the award was presented at Nandan Theatre.

International English Olympiad 2021-2022. She has been awarded with a Gold Medal,
a certificate of Outstanding Performance and a gift voucher worth Rs. 1000/-
Syeda appeared for the Environment Quiz and Sci-pi Quiz by Quantum Vault. She
received a Platina Award for securing a position in the top 5% of all participants
globally in EnviroQuiz and Argentum for securing a position in the top 30% of all
participants globally in Sci-Pi Quiz.
She also appeared for the All India AglaSem Talent Search Exam 2021 (ATSE) .
She will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 1000, for securing a rank within top 50 all over India.
Enakshi Bhaya of class VI F bagged the 2nd position in the World Dancers Olympiad –
International Online Dance Contest and Festival 2022.

Roshni Dasgupta of class VIII G participated in the All Rounder Cup,Gods of Grammar game. Completing consecutive three rounds she qualified to the top three podium among 291 participants and gained the third position finally.

Srujanika Dutta secured the 2nd Position in National Level Story Telling Competition held on 9th January in Joyous January Activities held by CHECK Club under the flag of Myskylitt Academy.

Saptadip Raychaudhuri of class IX D won the Under 18 Jury Award in the Photgraphy Competition and Exhibition ‘Y-Click’ organised by the NSHM School of Media and Communication.
The NSHM School of Media and Communication, Kolkata, hosted an offline photography festival on the theme “Colors of Life” on December 17 and 18, 2021, in association with Canon India Pvt Ltd.
“I took this photograph of festivities on Deepawali at Airitola Ghat. I used a phone to take it. This competition made me realise that I need to improve my technique and photography skills,” said Saptadip.

Eshan Bhattacharjee of class VIII sec-F has participated in the Smt. Aparna Dutta Memorial All India Fide Rated Chess Tournament 2021, organised by Matrix Chess Academy from 21st to 26th Dec,2021. He scored 6 points out of 10 rounds and secured the 1st place in under-14 catagory.
Saptarshi Dutta of XI D secured the First Rank in the South 24 Parganas District of West Bengal in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan and has been selected for State Level Camp Examination 2022.

Ayyan Choudhury of VIII D and Rajdeep Seal of X C has won the prize for Best Slogan.
On 11th December 2018, at the Inter-school CAB Cricket tournament held at Delhi Public School, Howrah, our school won the match with 385 Runs. Ayush Bhattacharya was declared the Man of the Match and received Certificate and Medal.
In The Telegraph Schools’ Chess Championship 2018 held at Gorky Sadan on 19th December, 2018, Sanket Chakravarty was placed 4th on the Merit List , thus making the School Team emerge as the Second Runner Up.
In the 1st Goa International Open Grand Master Chess Tournament held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Sanket Chakravarty stood 3rd and received a cash prize of Rs 7000.
Archisman Sinha Roy, took part in International Full Contact Karate Championship 2019 held on 4th – 6th January, 2019. He secured 2nd Position in Kata (open group).
The Oxford University Press organised an online Bengali Story Writing Competition with nearly 1000 students from across the State. Out of which stories of 30 candidates would be published by Oxford University in a book. Avijat Sinha Roy, Priyam Das of Class 8 and Monolina Of Class 5 were among the 30 candidates who will be felicitated by eminent Author Shri Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay.
Diptodeep Majumdar of Class XI D ranked 6th in the English Olympiad at the Zonal level and 31st at International Level.
Tathagata Ghosh of Class XII A ranked 24th in the Cyber Olympiad at the Zonal level.
In the TTIS CHALLENGE 2020 Tapalabdha Sardar of class VIII stood first in the Eastern Solo Category while Anwesha Sutar of Class VII stood first in the Mask Making Category for Junior and Animikha Chowdhury of Class VII stood first in Bengali Creative Writing Category for Junior.
Shreyan Ghosh and Sahil Ahamad Molla of Class I for bagging 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the Junior Genius Contest(Arithmetic)organised by SIP ABACUS. Among the 121 schools that participated,VMS finished within top 20 in a debut.
